Amazon Packages

I've gotten several new packages with Amazon's happy face on it. It's curriculum-buying time and a free trial of Amazon Prime is helping get it all here FREE. I wish everything I needed was available from them!

The Stove

This is my stove. I love my stove. Right now, though, I don't love my oven. It is being temperamental. It thinks it needs new circuit board and ignition thingamajig. Praise the Lord for extended warranties! I'll love my oven again in about two weeks when it's working.

Too Many!

I'm rebooting my kombucha right now and realized that my 'extras' jar is stuffed full! Time to blend these babies up and make some kombucha slurry. It can be used in many different ways, including adding it to smoothies and to the garden, as fertilizer.

Where've Ya Been?

I missed a day of blogging here. I'm so ashamed! .......... Ok, not really. :)



I've spent a couple of days in the Younger Girls Room. I helped them sort through all their toys, discard what doesn't get played with and throw out all the papers and bits of broken things that accumulate. We went through games, reassembled ones that were missing pieces and tossed what couldn't be saved. Books were sorted, weeded through, organized, inventoried and reshelved. They actually have a free shelf due to all the purging we did!

It looks so much better in there. Now they can actually play IN their room. Imagine that!

Birthday Time!

The twins celebrated their birthday the other day. Yay for nine years and for many, many more to come!

Sweetheart's Banquet

We enjoyed a banquet at our church tonight. My Girlies helped decorate the tables. Aren't they nice?

My Honey and I enjoyed our night out with friends. The message was wonderful and the fellowship, priceless!

The Promise

We had some lovely, drenching showers yesterday, with more expected tomorrow. Just after one particular hard downfall, the skies suddenly cleared somewhat and this gorgeous, full rainbow appeared.

Tomato Starts

This is my little eggshell tray of germinating tomato seeds. At least I hope they are germinating. I guess I'll know sooner than later...and there's always Lowe's if needed.

He's Balanced

My son built this tower this evening. He has such incredible dexterity and patience, not to mention one of the cutest dimples ever!

Little Beauties

These are our cute, little pea-flowers. Hopefully we will see pea pods soon!

Harvest Time

The fall-planted greens are ready to begin gracing our table. We planted more varieties of lettuce, spinach and chard today, along with carrots for a spring harvest.

Here's part of our lovely snow-covered mountain range. My Honey and I were driving near the foothills today. I am so ready for mountain biking and hiking!

A lovely freezer shelf-full of fish caught by my friend's husband. I am collecting recipes and looking for the perfect way to enjoy this culinary treasure! Anyone have a great recipe to share?
