Chooks!!

Well, what a difference a day has made. Yesterday I was going to buy nearly grown pullets; today I have a tub full of four day olds. They beat the older hens in cuteness, that's for sure!!

They are Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orphingtons and Barred Rocks. Next week I will add two Golden Sex Links to the mix. The feed store will not be getting Americanas in time for me to add them to our flock. Maybe next time!

  2. Right on, Beth! I got 4 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Buff Orphingtons, and 2 Barred Rocks. In a few days, the feed store I got them from will get Golden Sex Links, and I will get two of those.

  3. Love 'em. How do you keep the cat out? Mine would eat them!

  4. We have a lid with holes drilled in it to let the heat escape.
